Guide to resize partitions / tmp

Trong bài viết này, Hostvn will guide you to change the partition size / tmp through scripts of cPanel. You do sequential follow the steps below to avoid errors during resize.

1. First you need to connect to vps, server .

2. You adjust the volume that you want to change

root@vps [~]# nano /scripts/securetmp
tmp1

Change the value in the line capacity ” my $tmpdsksize “

tmp2

3. Stop các service :
root@vps [~]# service mysql stop

root@vps [~]# service httpd stop

4. Check and kill processes :

root@vps [~]# pstree -p | grep tailwatchd
|-tailwatchd(22997)
root@vps [~]# kill -9 22997
root@vps [~]# umount / var / tmp

root@vps [~]# -with fuser / tmp
/tmp: 16944(mysql)
root@vps [~]# kill -9 16944
root@vps [~]# umount / tmp
root@vps [~]# rm -rf /usr/tmpDSK

5. Resize script running of cPanel :

root@vps [~]# /scripts/securetmp –auto

6. Start the service and check / tmp was not resize :

root@vps [~]# service mysql start

root@vps [~]# service httpd start

root@vps [~]# reboot
